We believe that quality is everything, and for that, we continue to maintain compliance standards for our consumer markets in the European Union and North America, and that has been our philosophy. To ensure the product quality, our Quality Assurance Department (QAD), under the leadership of a highly experienced quality manager and a team of well-trained quality inspectors are operating the QAD independently from the production team. This department follows a robust quality framework at each step of the production process and submits their reports to the top management personal. The QAD team works very hard to ensure to meet the internal AQL standard of 2.5 along with continuously improving the desired international quality for colorfastness, shrinkages, and other quality standards.
For the last several years, Apex's product development team has been working with various buyers to develop new fabrics, prints, narrow fabrics, embellishments, etc. to create new fashion garments for the export market. Based on this experience, in 2010 we set up a new independent department for this purpose, staffed by Textile engineers, fashion designers, and a complete sample sewing section.
The textile engineers in conjunction with the R&D and fabric departments develop new fabrics, elastics, prints, and other embellishments. Fashion designers use these to develop fashion products for the various export market. This has proven to be very useful to buyers from the USA and Europe and many of them are routinely using this facility.
We have established our Industrial Engineering department to increase productivity and quality. This department ensures we are always a front runner in the global competition of cost-saving, productivity, and quality improvement. They work tirelessly to reach the highest level of productivity, quality with minimum waste. Our IE team works in cutting, sewing, and finishing to increase automation. They also work in tracking WIP, setting line layout, increase work efficiency, productivity, demand forecasting, develop Layout, work with different quality tools, efficiency, wages and earning calculation, CNC machine operation, scheduling, capacity analysis, Line balancing, bottleneck removing and calculating NPT following Kaizen & Kanban production planning. They analyze CM, SMV, costing, consumption, profit- Loss. They also follow up daily production targets and production.
We have an in-house laboratory equipped with the most sophisticated and modern lab equipment to conduct inspections of all raw materials and finished goods according to international standards. The laboratory is fully capable of carrying out various textile testing i.e.; fabric weight (density), yarn count and composition, spectral color matching, colorfastness, shrinkage, and dimensional stability, extension and modulus, formaldehyde, and phenolic yellowing. Our in-house testing laboratory has international customers' accreditation.
Our Dedicated Learning Center provides training programs for unskilled people as well as up-skilling training for sewing operators, helpers, and quality inspectors. The capacity of the training center is 65 persons per batch. Our Skill Incubator programs include:
